Store is filthy, produce is always rotten, mice running around everywhere ...stock not being rotated and often way beyond our of date..employees are being reprimanded in front of customers and management seems to be ignorant as heck, maybe time to retire???? Should not be followed around store by managers as if I'm a thief, when I've been shopping there almost 20 years ... Doesn't help as someone previously mentioned that the store and outskirts are covered in homeless people and addicts, yet the young employees, especially the cashier's and stock people are keeping smiles on their faces ( except for certain older cashier's who vocally trash talk everyone in line )...maybe time for a complete overhaul of management, who is letting the younger employees take the brunt of complaints and jeopardizing their safety???? Respect goes a long way in a business...just saying ...

Can safely say I will never shop here again. Wrongly accusing someone of stealing over a simple misunderstanding, holding them for hours, treating them so poorly, and banning them from the store… despite them trying to apologize and offering payment. The owner showed zero understanding or willingness to remedy the situation. If this is how paying customers are treated, who’s to say you won’t be next? People make mistakes.. I’ve made similar ones elsewhere and was never threatened or detained. Absolutely ridiculous!

I was assaulted by an employee at this freshco location. Me and my friend went into the store in the afternoon for one specific item, when we were ready to leave we noticed we were being followed by a man. We wasted some time trying to lose him just incase he was going to follow me to my car, being a young girl I can never be too cautious. He was right on our heels so I decided to say something and he was speaking total jibberish at first and then said we were trespassing. We were freaked out by the situation so we approached a cashier for help, questioning who he was, and she just started at me blankly. A different cashier, called the manager over, who was also extremely unprofessional and vulgar, she said we were caught stealing and putting things in our pockets on a different day when we had never been to that store EVER before. Nor did we steal from any surrounding grocery stores. When my friend set the product we wanted to purchase down, I went to pick it up and the man slapped the back of my hand down onto the conveyor belt and having acrylic nails, it was hurting my finger tips a LOT. I told the manager what happened and expressed that it hurt and she did nothing. They threatened to call the cops but after we proved our pockets and purses were empty she told us to just get out of the store. We ended up filing a police report ourselves because this behaviour is unacceptable and the opposite of professional. All people deserve to be treated with respect unless given a reason not to be, and we were nothing but concerned and uncomfortable yet still being treated like garbage. Being physically touched by anyone in ANY WAY is a big no especially when it’s between a young girl and a middle-aged man in a public place. The manager was an older, petite blonde lady and the man who is an assumed “secret shopper under disguise” was a 30-40 year old African American. Im disgusted by how both of them handled the situation.

I find myself somewhat frustrated with this particular store. Although it is conveniently located near my home, it often falls short of expectations. To begin with, the shelves frequently appear half-empty. This is not an occasional issue, but a recurring one. Perhaps the management could benefit from implementing a more effective system for inventory management and ordering to ensure adequate stock levels. Furthermore, the prices do not seem particularly favorable. While I understand that grocery prices are generally increasing, this store seems to have a tendency to overcharge its customers. Even when experts forecast price reductions due to factors such as lower fuel costs, reduced inflation, and the removal of tariffs, the prices for consumers remain unchanged. It appears that the owner and franchise are maintaining prices and taking advantage of their customers. Thirdly, the quality of the produce is quite poor. I have never encountered a grocery store that seems comfortable selling produce that is already showing signs of decay and mold. This is absolutely unacceptable and warrants significantly more attention. Finally, because of its close location to the new homeless shelter, there are occasions when entering the store to purchase groceries gives the impression of entering the shelter itself. There are homeless people laying on the floor, the place stinks, and I perceive that the patrons may be feeling somewhat uncomfortable having to go around those people. It is also not fair to the cashiers who get the complaints about them. I know this is not directly the fault of Freshco, but something more needs to be done. I must say, the majority of the cashiers are quite friendly, and they truly deserve a raise considering the challenges they face... Perhaps the increase in compensation could be sourced from the owner's portion of the profits that they are acquiring from price gouging customers. In conclusion, it might be more advantageous for you to travel a bit farther for your grocery shopping.

FreshCo is a great spot for affordable groceries, especially fresh produce and multicultural food items. The prices are competitive, and the store usually has weekly deals worth checking out. It’s clean, organized, and good for quick shopping trips without breaking the bank.
