Free Gas Company Ltd - Propane Service

Lady in the office is very rude and condescending. They charged my card $1000. And only put $600 worth of propane in. I called them and they didn’t even know what was going on. She was trying to say I owe them the $400 and I said no you owe me that. Finally got worked out and they gave me my $400 back. When I finally got my bill, they are charging $.16 more than a competitor per litre. When I changed providers, a tech came out and did a pressure test and found a leak behind my stove that was supposed to be fixed by free gas and wasn’t.(pipe was hand tighten only). Thank god my house didn’t explode!

They are rude, unprofessional, and have terrible customer service. They like to take unauthorized money from accounts. When I questioned it, their response was dismissive and condescending, hiding behind paperwork instead of treating me with basic respect. The way they communicate with customers is unacceptable — zero transparency, zero courtesy, and a total lack of accountability. There are plenty of propane companies out there. Do yourself a favour and go anywhere else but here!!!

I have been dealing with Free Gas for well over 30 years. I have used their services for furnace and air conditioning installatios as well as purchasing propane refills from them. On one occasion they repaired my barbecue free of charge when it had exposed flame every time I lit it. My safety took priority over their financial gain. I have found them to be very professional in all my dealings with them, large or small. The office staff is always friendly and polite and very knowledgeable of the services the company offers. I feel it is important to support local family owned businesses as opposed to larger corporations that don't care for their customers to the standard that Free Gas does. I will continue to use their services with full confidence that their employees will not disappoint me for my needs.

Terrible customer service, they told me it would take 6-7 days to get my gas or I have to pay $300 for emergency delivery. Then I found another company and called them to cancel my service with them. Guy on the phone cuts me off while I am telling him why I am upset and tells me “I had my driver coming your way today but anyway we’ll pick up the tank” and hangs up on my face. Him saying driver was coming today(2 day later my request for refill) proves they were trying to scam me for $300 saying it would take 6-7 days. Do not recommend this company. Avoid at all cost
