Fort Erie Public Library - Crystal Ridge Branch

Fantastic library! Friendly staff and great for young kids. They have a small indoor play area for children under 4 years of age and small toys. Great selection of books and (bonus) they have a book return window accessible from outside so you can return books quickly and easily. Great location! Update (as of 06/29/24) the small play structure was donated and the kid’s corner is no longer there. Would be wonderful if they denoted a small space to kids. Bean bags or a few child-sized chairs would really make a difference here. Doesn’t feel as welcoming for kids to sit down, read and enjoy the space.

Small location with lots of offerings. Exactly what you're looking for in a library. Friendly staff, relevant books and a quiet relaxed atmosphere, even with a play area to keep those who don't read yet busy.

It is a small library, staff is friendly, but is that enough when they seem to be clueless? The January calendar promoted drop-in help with computer stuff at 2 pm, Mon.23rd. Just what I needed. Arrived just before 2 pm. Checked-in with the staff, uhh, we don't know who is doing it, waiting for somebody to show up. But have a seat and I will let you know. 45 Minutes later, nobody advised me that the computer help had arrived. Checked with another staff member, and oh, yes, she's over there helping somebody. Do staff not talk to each other about events in the branch? It comes across as amateurish, staff cannot tell me if there is a time limit for drop-in help. What a waste of my time, and yes, very disappointed.

Clean, cozy, with new computers, children's playgeound, a good movie and books selection. The staff is very friendly, outside there is a bus stop.
