Foodland Smithville

My mother and sister were shopping for a specific pudding in the dairy area. As my 83 year old reached for the Kozy shack pudding, it slipped out of her hand hitting the floor, one container cracked open. My sister alerted a man working in the area of the TINY spill. His response was miserable saying " OH GREAT" and walked away. My mother felt bad enough, he made her feel worse for a simple accident. With prices being the way they are, we will not be giving Smithville Foodland our business. Everyone can have an off day, don't take it out on the customers who choose to shop locally.

Thank you to the entire team at foodland for being my late mother's second family, she really loved going to work and being around her co workers! Cathie loved all of you!

Well organized store. We'll stocked. Beef is very good. Prices overall are very high. Only go for select sales.

Everything about Smithville Foodland exceeds expectations. When you walk in, you're greeted by numerous displays of fresh looking (and tasting) fruits and veggies. More importantly though, the staff are amazing. Everyone there is personable, friendly, helpful and efficient. Angie, for example, may be busy keeping a seasonal display looking perfect, but she always notices when an extra lane is needed and opens a till to get us through the line up as quick as possible.

Staff make this place they are so helpful and super friendly. Their flowers are nice, bake shop are great. I like that they feature Ontario Produce Owner is community minded and friendly. My only complaint is very high prices and no internet in store in case you forget your list or need to call home or look up recipe. Store is clean and very accessible. I also like that it’s close to home. Food pricing is going up so we have to find multiple grocery stores to make sure we get the best bang for our buck.
