Stock is always available and fresh. Friendly staff. Clean and nicely lite facility. Parking in front can be tight. Accessible parking directly in front of the entrance. There is a big parking lot. Self Check-out available. Cashiers are very quick. No credit card surcharge. Free WiFi. Carts and baskets are always available and clean. Careful exiting. You pretty much go right into the parking lot and you're blind to the left.

Yesterday, my cashier stopped our line (4deep) to help a senior lady,call her ride and helped her get cash back to pay for it. Total time about 7mins. It was absolutely beautiful to see how she cared for this lady,all of us in line(and I was next) smiled brightly as we watched. This happened on hartzell rd,St.catharines, Ontario. I had a very disappointing experience with Food Basics customer service. I called several times asking about a product, but instead of helping, the employee named Karen kept transferring my call to other departments where no one answered. When I called back the third time, she responded rudely and told me she couldn’t do anything more than transfer the call. This kind of service is very unhelpful and frustrating for customers. I expected better support and professionalism.

I was in the area Friday so it was the perfect opportunity to check it out and get some stuff. I was primarily after fruit and veggies for the kids. I had a very good experience here. The fruit and veggie display was very nice and the store was very well stocked. The staff were pleasant. I would return iff I was in the area.
