Fong's Restaurant

Eesh. The General Tso's chicken was so sweet I think I have diabetes now. Also, not very good tasting besides. The texture and portion size was pretty good though. But if you enjoy the taste of your food... don't order that. Or anything there if you want to be safe.

The food is unremarkable considering the price is standard to most other Chinese restaurants I've been to. It's decent enough if you can't cook Chinese food yourself and wants some close by in Thorold, but that's the only incentive for coming here.

Their chicken chow mein was delicious !! Their rice was not dried out. Chicken balls were more chicken then breading which was great :) However their spring rolls were horrible (to me) and the jumbo breaded shrimp was good but very greasy. Overall a 4 star rating !

I was skeptical to try it out, since if you judge it on its appearances it seems to be rather sketchy, what part of Thorold doesn't? The food is amazing, prices are low and they're nice people. Also looked up the Health Inspections and they seem to be pretty good. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Order a dinner for 2 and it took us 3 days to finish it. The chicken balls had more chicken than breaded in it, the fried rice was tasty , the beef mix veggie was big and we love the egg rolls with the wonton soup. . Overall the people were quick on the takeout and very nice.
