Fit4Less

My home gym is in Toronto but I went to this location while I was in town last weekend. I read some reviews before I visited and noticed some complaints but really had no issues. It was busy, but still lots of machines and room for a good workout. Private changing and shower rooms. Nice little gym.

I enjoyed fit4less, and this location was nice and clean. However, I moved to a different country so I needed to cancel my membership. I call the location and they gave me an email address I could use to cancel it. I follow their direction and nothing happened. No confirmation email no reply nothing. But they still kept taking my money. I called the location back and they told me there is nothing they can do and to use the email they provided (which I emailed again). That was 3 months ago. And I realized today they are still taking my money. It's just extremely frustrating.

Have been going to this gym since 2023. Recently downgraded my membership from black card as I do not use any of its privileges and only attend this gym. When I entered my card wouldn’t allow access. The employee then informed me that because I downgraded my membership, it was sent for a single location access at my home club where I signed up, which was in Guelph, ON. As I didn’t know this, she told me that because I had been at this club for so long, she would waive the $25 +hst fee associated with switching home clubs. No concerns there, so I thought. A week later I get an email from the manager, Jessica, saying I need to pay the $25 fee to switch gyms and she’s sending my access back to Guelph, despite the fact that I’d been attending this gym for 3 years. I now have no access to this gym, unless I pay the fee. I’ve asked to speak with upper management and still to now have not heard from anyone. I do not appreciate the inconsistencies and despite the fact that I didn’t complain initially about having to pay the $25 fee, the employee said she’d waive it, so I don’t understand why the manager would change a situation that was already taken care of, rather than speak with her employee about adhering to policies.

Upkeep on the facility is pretty pathetic. I put my bag and coat inside of one of the lockers for an hour workout. Upon opening it and grabbing my stuff, the smell of festering, month-old sweat came out of the locker like a a fog. Dried, crusted.. brown stuff was also caked on the top of my locker which I didn't notice before putting my things in. i've had to wash my jacket and bag twice now to get the smell of rotten sweat festering out of it. This wasn't a locker that had some random persons sweaty clothes in it for a day, this was a scent that was weeks brewing in there. The machines and equipment is also filthy as well. I know a lot of that falls onto people just being lazy and not wiping down after use, but the fact that the treadmills practically simulate walking down dusty trail shows neglect on the owner/staff's part, more than the gymgoer.

I’ve been coming to Fit4Less for over a year now and I’m surprised it’s not busier than it is! Great pricing, great staff and never an issue getting the machine or weights I need! My favourite part about going to Fit4Less are the hydro massage beds! Definitely worth upgrading to a black card. Shout out to Will and all of the staff for always keeping the gym clean and running smoothly! UPDATE* All black card amenities are now 24/7 self serve. This is exactly what I was waiting for. This means any massage chairs or hydro beds can be used by just scanning your card directly at the bed/chair. Incredible!
