Wondering. I have a dryclean depot. Dont have a seamstress. How much would you wholesale charge for a hem and put new zippers on jackets? You provide service to Modern Cleaners who do my drycleaning.

my heart aches to leave such a negative review for a local business (and I'm not a demanding bride I swear, I'm literally the most easy going person) but I do feel very disappointed with the service I received. I wanted to share my experience as a heads up for any other potential brides looking for alterations services in the Niagara area. I brought my wedding dress here for alterations because Fine Tailors was on the list of recommended seamstresses from the store where I bought my dress. During the initial consultation, I was told there was absolutely no way it would even be possible to hem the dress to the length I needed due to numerous appliques along the bottom of the outer tulle layer, but I was assured that they would hem the dress a little bit, and it would make a difference and the dress would fit me better. Well, after a couple of months, I went to pick up my dress, it was clearly still way too long to walk in (I was tripping over it) and now I'm out $300 for alterations on a still unwearable dress. I had to go to a different seamstress, and I was prepared to just ask them to cut off the bottom because I'd rather be able to walk than have a complete design, but this new seamstress is actually able to do the work I need, and is going to hem the dress another 4-5 inches while preserving the appliques and design of the dress. Even with a rush order, it's costing me the same amount as what Fine Tailors charged even though Fine Tailors only hemmed the inner layers a couple of inches (they also did take in the bodice a little bit and add a bustle). I'm not sure if being unable to hem the bottom was a skill issue or if was prom season and they had too many orders, but I wish Fine Tailors would have been honest upon seeing the dress and just admitted that they could not provide the service I needed, instead of completing some alterations and arbitrarily hemming the dress a little bit but still leaving it way too long. (Or at least, not charged me for half a hemming job when it would need to be re-done by someone who does have the skills and time required to do it right.) I'm sure the ladies here do a great job with regular clothes, but I would not recommend them for more complicated wedding dress alterations. Communication was also not great throughout, which resulted in me driving a half hour to their store only to be told it wasn't actually my dress that was ready for pick up but a different bride's dress.

I don’t typically leave reviews on here but I had to share dissatisfaction with the result of my dress and the customer service I have received from your business. I had dropped my wedding dress off and unfortunately, the dress was improperly altered completely. When I contacted your team to request a refund, I was shocked to be told that the issues were a result of my body—specifically that the reason why the dress was twisted was because I had gained weight and that the straps were off because “my shoulders are different heights.” Not only are these statements completely inappropriate and unprofessional, but they are also inaccurate. The problem was with the workmanship and alterations, not my body. Additionally, when I first called to inquire about the issue and request a refund, I was told I was referring to a completely different dress—despite giving clear details. This only further reflects a lack of organization and care on your part. Since then, I was promised a refund and still have not received anything and it has been about two weeks. No one has responded to my calls or followed up regarding my refund. This experience has been deeply disappointing, and it caused unnecessary stress around a day that should have been joyful. If someone could contact me regarding my refund, it would be greatly appreciated.

Got my dress hemmed the sleeves taken up and fabric added to the share part. My daughter’s dress needed to be tightened at the hips. They did an amazing job. I’m so pleased with the Service and the price was fair. I highly recommend for any alterations.

Hem was good and very quick! The only complaint I have is the smell of cooking on my dress. It was quite strong.. at least it had time air it out before the event.
