Family and Children’s Services Niagara

FACS Niagara has consistently let families down, including mine. They claim to act in the best interests of children, but in my experience, that is far from the truth. I personally provided them with clear video, audio, and photo evidence of ongoing child abuse of my own children, by their mother’s boyfriend who resides in their home, and they did absolutely nothing about it. They never followed up with me, never gave any meaningful updates, and showed no urgency to protect the children involved.. even with actual evidence of hands-on abuse taking place on a regular basis. They did a “wellness check” which consisted of a ten minute visit without speaking to any children, and then saying there doesn’t appear to be a problem right here and now so we’re dismissing the case. How disgraceful. It is heartbreaking and frustrating to see an organization with such responsibility fail to act when children’s safety is at risk. Families turn to them for help, only to be ignored or dismissed. In my opinion, FACS Niagara does not truly advocate for children as they claim, and they need serious accountability and reform.. or to be dissolved completely.

I hate this place, they've done absolutely nothing but cause more damage to me and both my daughters! I'm still fighting for my youngest

Very unhelpful to a young girl with no family and no where to go. She had a previous file with them yet they would not help her in any way. Very sad they neglect the ones who actually need help.

FACS does more harm than good. They made my childhood a living hell “investigating” false complaints against my mother.

This organization does nothing. They know of addiction, drugs openly around children under 12 years old, abuse, neglect, trauma in homes and have done absolutely nothing for the past 2 years since we first started dealing with them. What does this organization even do but provide false hope of change?
