My experience was very bad. The lack of diversity on staff is telling because as someone who does not speak great english, it was difficult to communicate what I wanted. The advisor, I will not share the name, treated me like I was a dumb child. Everyone in the place is very rude and ignorant when they see somebody who is not white skin. Very sad racism is here in 2023.

I'm unbelievabley disappointed with my experience. I was trying to go to school in April but Diane couldn't get her act together in time.. so I put my education on hold so she could sort out what she needed to do on her end. Told me I could get a job, told me it was okay to take on full time. Told me that the job I was offered was not a problem. Fast forward...and she refused to send in my application and gave me the runaround. Even tried to convince me that the school wasn't a good choice for me. Now she tells me the job I took disqualifies me from Second Career. I would've stayed on EI. She's supposed to be the "Second Career Guru"...what she is is a joke.

I am very displeased with Linda. No common sense at all, lack of empathy, lack of adequate communication skills, and attention to details. 1. I went through the entire process, only to find couple days before my school start date, that I will not qualify for Second Career. Very disappointing, needless to say, and chaotic process. I should have been informed of this at very beginning. 2. I was also told by Linda that: "EVEN THOUGH YOU DIDN'T GET THE APPROVAL, YOU'LL STILL END UP BETTER THAN ALL OF US". Not sure exactly what that meant, but I felt judged, considering she does not know anything about my life. The lack of professionalism in this statement made me very uncomfortable. 3. Last, but not least, at some point Linda also asked me: "Are you still receiving severance of $7000 a month? And if so for how many more months?". If I were obtaining that amount of money, I'd definitely not be rushing to work LOL, I responded, I wish. I will be submitting another review on google and writing formal complaint letter. Would not recommend.

I would rate negative if i could i am beyond angry with this place! My fiancè called them today cause she needs some help she has had a hard time with anxiety and depression and all she wanted was some help to fix up her resume to apply to a job she wanted to go for! She struggles with self doubt so really needed the help to make it proper! And long story short pretty much told her to just do it herself! And rushed her off the phone! So i am very angry and cannot believe this happened your suppose to be there to help people!!!

An amazing group if ppl who truly believe in the mission of ETC. Always helpful and honest. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a new job or anything work related! Thanks EHC.
