The Welland store is clean, well stocked, and has several employees who are professional and easy to work with. Unfortunately, one employee consistently undermines the entire experience. When Brad is working, interactions involving extended warranties routinely become confrontational. A customer’s refusal is not respected and must be repeated multiple times. Continued refusal is met with visible irritation and hostility, creating an unnecessarily adversarial checkout experience. What should be a routine transaction instead feels like an argument the customer didn’t agree to participate in. This is not an isolated incident. The behavior is consistent enough that I now avoid shopping here when he is on shift and have repeatedly walked out without making a purchase solely to avoid dealing with him. That should not happen at a game store. If you’ve experienced this behavior, you know exactly who I’m talking about even if you don't know his name. This is not a criticism of the store as a whole, but of one individual whose conduct actively drives customers away. For anyone who wants this addressed I’ve been told corporate does not closely monitor Google reviews, so contacting corporate directly may be the only way this behavior receives appropriate attention.

Terrible service. I purchased a game for my little niece and they only had it in digital. So that's what I was getting . This Brad guy checking me out says I wouldn't buy this. They are forcing us to digital it's a scam. Goes on and on. I replied to him. That's the game she wants and you don't have a hard copy, so what choice do I have ? He says very rudely almost yelling at me DONT BUY IT! Well guess what bud . I'm buying it.. that's what she wants. He was very rude after that and could tell he just was pushing me off after that.. will never go to this location again.

This morning, at approximately 11:00 a.m., I attended the GameStop location at Seaway Mall to return several Christmas gifts purchased for my children. The items had the original GameStop price tags still attached. During this interaction, I was assisted by a store associate (male, with a beard and glasses) whose manner I found to be rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. I was concerned by the tone and treatment I received, particularly as my Caucasian spouse has completed preorders, returns, and exchanges at this same location on numerous occasions without issue. I am of Asian descent. I also observed another older Asian customer at the counter at the time who appeared visibly distressed during their interaction. While I cannot definitively determine the cause, the circumstances raised concerns for me regarding potential differential treatment. My wife and I have been loyal customers of EB Games/GameStop since childhood, which made this experience especially disappointing. I sincerely hope that this incident reflects the conduct of an individual employee rather than the values or customer service standards of GameStop as an organization.

That Brad guy really makes me and some of my friends not want to go in. It's not just that he gets mad if you don't get a warranty, you can't even make small talk with the guy without setting him off. Used to like this location but things have changed.

Not sure what his name is, but the employee working there got upset when I didn’t donate to charity after my purchase. If he cares that much, he should donate himself — really unprofessional behavior.
