My wife and I had a bad experience at our normal eye doctor in Hamilton and was highly recommended to come see Benjamin. We made the drive down to beamsville and it was definitely worth the ride. We will now continue doing business here and travel down everytime. Friendly staff but most importantly Benjamin was very thorough and they run a lot of tests to make sure everything looks good. We were impressed, and felt like it was amazing service for the money.

The staff here are exceptional, and Dr. Dueck has been so kind and patient with my elderly mom who has dementia, even fitting her in last minute on a very busy day when she was having some discomfort in one eye. Top notch establishment; I can't say enough good things about this optometry office!

On the morning of July 11, 2025, I contacted Dueck Optometry after searching online for an "emergency eye doctor" in the Grimsby area. My elderly father was experiencing a serious issue with his eyes, and I was urgently looking for help. Dueck Optometry came up in the search results, and their website clearly mentioned that they accept emergency cases. However, when I called, I was told by the receptionist that my father would need to be an existing patient to be seen by a doctor. This was frustrating and disappointing, especially given the wording on the website, which gave me the impression they could assist with urgent cases. Thankfully, I was able to connect with another optometrist in Grimsby who saw my father within an hour. Their service was excellent, the doctor was fantastic, and the experience was so positive that I’ve since booked an appointment for myself next week. I hope Dueck Optometry considers clarifying the language on their website so others in urgent situations aren't misled in the future.
