Dr. Romatowski

Did a scope on me several years back, was very courteous and professional. Answered my questions and did a great job. Would recommend.

Dr. Romatowski listens to you. My husband reslly likes him and feels secure in Dr. R's carefor his upcoming colonoscopy. The lady who takes all your information and informs you of the upcoming procedure and what our preparation will be is wonderful at her job!

I have been a patient for 5 years and have always had a wonderful experience with him. He is respectful and truly listens. Tanya the secretary is awesome and moves heaven and earth to get you in. I'm blessed to have this team.

Dr Romatowski is unprofessional and seems lost. I was sent to him following a colonoscopy. The first thing he said was “what are you doing here”? Well an appointment was set up thru my doctor’s office to see you, the specialist in gastroenterology. He read my file, and asked what’s wrong with your heart? Nothing is wrong with my heart. I was wondering if he had the wrong file. I was there concerning polyps. He is dismissive and rude when asked questions. He explained that 2 little polyps were found, but nothing too concerning. He asked if I had any bleeding following the colonoscopy. His advise was to make sure I don’t start bleeding, and if I did, to get checked right away. His office is in a shambles. Files are scattered all over his desk, on shelves, accompanied by old lunches and dirty coffee mugs. I think his mind is as disorganized as his office. It might be time he retired. He was a waist of my time and would not recommend him to anyone!

I cannot state clearly and plainly enough how unpleasant and unprofessional Dr Romatowski is. If you've had even one visit with him, I'm certain much of what I'm describing below will already ring true. I am a current patient with considerable experience interacting with Romatowski directly in appointments and also in the hospital. I have never complained about a Doc before and I likely will never have to again. But Dr Romatowski warrants a first. From the moment I entered his cluttered and disheveled office, his conduct and attitude were a problem. He cuts you off before answering a question; he's dismissive and combative when there is absolutely no reason to be and if any part of the care requires compassion he is completely void of it. Dr Romatowski seems more worried about his own ego and powering through a scheduled appointment then with ever thoroughly understanding a problem or discussing it with the patient deeply enough for them to understand it. Speaking quite specifically for me, he said "I do not have to explain this to you" on multiple occasions when asked how he had come to a conclusion that differed from other doctors or the previous diagnosis. But this man made a difficult situation much worse and I wanted to share that.
