Dr. K. Macmillan, Dr. H. MacDonald & Dr. S. Youash

They do not answer calls or respond to voicemails. I waited 7 months for them to finally contact me after reaching out to them at least once every week. They refused to do any exams despite my concerns because “I am too young to be worried” about my reproductive health. I eventually found an incredible specialist through my family doctor in Hamilton where they gave me my diagnosis and I now receive the proper care through them. Do not let yourself be referred here. There is extreme lack of trauma-informed care and personal healthcare rights. They need to separate gynaecologists when it comes to pregnant women vs. those struggling with reproductive health.

I was so lucky to get the referral to see Dr. K. Macmillan. She was professional, kind and validating. I highly recommend the wait to see her. I found the receptionists to be lighthearted and welcoming. I have been a patient for 7 years now and am extremely appreciative of the time taken to listen to my Concerns and provide options. She is extremely knowledgeable in the field and I have friends who have seen her in emergency situations as well as various unique needs. Each of them have had similar excellent experiences. I don’t quite understand the poor reviews. In my opinion we need more specialists like Dr. Macmillan in the region.

I had a very unpleasant experience with Dr. K. Macmillan. I left the office completely disappointed and with a negative feeling. The doctor has a very discouraging and unkind approach. I would strongly avoid her practice — I truly regret that my midwife referred me to her.

Dr. Heather MacDonald is absolutely amazing! She’s incredibly kind and radiates such a positive vibe that instantly puts you at ease. She listens with so much care and attention, truly making you feel heard. I was in pain and requested an earlier appointment—she quickly booked me in for the very next day. That level of compassion and responsiveness is rare. She genuinely does her best as a doctor. Without a doubt, she’s the best doctor I’ve ever met!

I have seen Dr. Macmillan twice in the last 6 months and it has been such a great experience. She has given me more information about my PCOS in just two visits than other doctors have after years. She is thorough and relays the information in a way that is very easy to understand. She has sent me for some follow up lab work rather than just band aiding the problem. She makes your concerns feel heard. As a bonus she is very personable and I find she matches energy well. When I was concerned she was compassionate, when I said something ridiculous she was funny right back. Her staff are wonderful and the phones are always answered promptly or messages returned promptly, which as most people know isn't common in medical offices. Such a great asset to health care in Niagara.
