Dr Anthony Chan

Dr. Chan failed to diagnose me with a very common cause of infertility. I asked my NP to send me to someone else and that obgyn ordered a few tests and next visit i was given a diagnosis. I had a baby. The other doctor moved further away, so I went back to Dr. Chan with a diagnosis in hand and asked for same treatment to have another baby, Dr. Chan proceded to tell me I did NOT have the condition I was diagnosed with. He gave his own treatment rather the one that worked and the one i asked for. I conceived but miscarriaged. He then engaged in medical gaslighting, told me I was never pregnant. Went to someone else, again had another healthy baby.

Best doctor ever. Many doctors told me it wasn't possible for me to get pregnant and my spouse and I were about to give up. He helped, understood all my needs, was kind to my feelings. And now I have a beautiful one year old daughter. Thank you forever.

I feel like we were a mix of most comments everybody wrote. I took my daughter in for health concerns. Yes, you do wait an 1.5 hours but when it’s your turn you get his knowledge and attention. Which you want. My daughter did get weirded out at times especially when she had to feed him the information of results of her tests and told her everybody has cysts. I’m not mad because the referring doctor didn’t seem to think this was a big problem either. He did everything to make sure she is going to be pain free. I imagine down the road she’ll be diagnosed with endometriosis but this doctor is way past retirement age.

Dr. Chan is a great doctor. He cares a lot for his patient especially if you're a first time mom he will fill you with all the knowledge you need for parenthood. He also does this talk with you and your partner at 36weeks to inform you with everything thats about to happened at labor and delivery. I'm glad that his my OB as he understand the needs of information from a FTM from a professional perspective.

I moved to Niagara in 2015 and Dr. Chan was recommended to me by a friend and referred to me by my family doctor. I’m glad I made the decision to entrust his practice with my gynecological needs. I have never been comfortable with that aspect of my medical needs but Dr. Chan and his assistant are both very kind, personable and professional. You can tell he’s had many years of experience and knowledge in this profession, you can also tell he genuinely cares for all his patients and their well-being.
