Order at front counter off a menu taped to the wall, had to eat off a paper plate with wooden utensils. The eggs smelt off, the sausage wasn’t good, and the bacon was burnt to a crisp. The potatoes were a russet potato drenched in everything bagel seasoning. Extremely overpriced for the quality. Best part of my meal was the toast that didn’t come with a jam.

Changed the steak hash to a half portion but charging the same price. Used to be great value, will not come back. Half portions is bad value for your money. 20 bucks for a tiny hash..smh

Came here with my boyfriend and the ageism we experienced was brutal. We are young adults and act very respectful but we were treated very poorly. Firstly it took 40 minutes (not an exaggeration) for our food to come out and it was a very simple meal while people that came in long after us got seated, had food on their table and left all before we even got our food. Secondly, my boyfriend’s food came out cold and when he complained only about his bacon very undercooked, he was told to just order it differently next time and the waitress walked away. Will not be back, disappointed as we were looking to have a nice little brunch together.

First time visit with no prior info. Just moved to neighbourhood. We tried on early morning Saturday before errands. Was surprised to find out it was a diner without table service. You order and pay and sit. Like all other fast-food places. Coffee was provided immediately at counter but I was disappointed to get paper take-out cups. The facility appeared dated but clean. Food came and I ordered the wrap. I will say it was very fresh - made with fresh ingredients, fluffy scrambled eggs, great crispy bacon, fresh tomatoes. Husband's plate was good too. Home fries were potatoes - not from freezer bag. The food made everything alright. I recommend solely based on the quality of food, not the sub-friendly customer service or the lack of wait-style service. Do wish they offered a V-8 or tomato juice option, not just apple and orange. Business was steady enough, some patrons had ceramic mugs, my guess is that they may be regulars that know what they expect. We were just expecting a true diner experience.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Donut Diner is a hidden gem for a classic, no-fuss breakfast. It’s a small, cozy spot with an old-school diner vibe that feels warm and welcoming. From the moment you walk in, you get that nostalgic feeling of a traditional diner, which adds to the charm. The menu isn’t huge, but it has all the breakfast staples you’d expect—eggs, bacon, toast, pancakes, and, of course, donuts. The food is tasty, well-prepared, and reasonably priced, making it a great value for a casual breakfast outing. One thing to note is that you have to pay before you sit down, which is a little different from most places, but it keeps things running smoothly. The service was okay—not overly attentive, but friendly enough and efficient. If you’re looking for a laid-back, affordable breakfast spot with a nostalgic diner feel, Donut Diner is definitely worth a visit. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or sitting down for a relaxing meal, it’s a great little spot to start your day!
