Saturday afternoon here and what a bonus to hear the blues by Paige Armstrong with Brant Parker! Excellent performance, cozy atmosphere and great food! Had exquisite lightly battered haddock. Super highly recommended place! Don’t miss it!
View on GoogleReally, really nice staff here. Helpful recommendations and patience with newcomers. The food was very good - the recommended cottage pie was like home although a little heavy on the pea ratio, not the potato topping was too die for. The fish in the fish and chips was excellent and the fries very good. The meat in the Irish Onion Burger was superb and the sandwich was generous and well prepared. Was looking for a pint of bitter, but settled for a local IPA. If we're in the area would definitely stop again!
View on GoogleStaff was super friendly to us. They were super busy but got tables turned and bussed and sat us quickly. We appreciated the hospitality as we were traveling from the US and this is the first Canadian place we stopped. Nice folks. Also I know its a weird thing to include but the water was delicious. Just plain ol tap water but way better than the water we have in the US. We noticed the difference immediately.
View on GoogleWent on a Friday night for fish & chips special. Fish was a very good portion & chips were also very tasty. Was a busy evening, I'm assuming due to fish fry special. Took a while for waitress to get to us, but once she did she was very friendly & attentive. Will definitely be returning, want to try the Guinness Lamb Stew.
View on GoogleI was here on Saturday, and the entertainment was amazing. You should probably get reservations because it was very busy. I ordered the large poutine, and it was enough to feed 4 people. The bar food here is very good, they also had good drink options. There was lots of free parking on the street.
