DJ's Roadhouse

We visited during their transition to the quieter off-season so the restaurant was very quiet and not busy. This is the type of place that as soon as you walk in you feel comfortable. Tasty food, that's fresh and hot with, fast and friendly service. We had the coconut shrimp and crab cakes for appetizers and fried fish with shrimp for our mains. My wife went with the standard fried fish and I had the perch. Both very tasty. For dessert we had the ice cream filled crepes. On a side note, coleslaw is rarely mentioned in any reviews because, let's face it, it's coleslaw and mostly an afterthought. My wife and I agreed that their coleslaw is amazing and probably the best we have had in a long time, maybe even ever. If we are in the area again we wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Haven’t ordered in a long time. I was reminded why last week. I ordered the perch and shrimp combo. NOT pictured is the side of rice. But this is $29!!?????? VERY disappointed. I will spend double to get WAY more at the country chip wagon next time. The great DJs legacy is fading fast. The second photo is the $66 Family Perch Dinner.

We had some fantastic food here yesterday. Taryn, our waitress, was very accommodating and professional. Definitely will come back to this place if I am in town.

What a wonderful place for a quality fish dinner. Prices are very reasonable, the ambiance is classic fish house, the drinks were cool, and the servers very pleasant. If you are anywhere near the town of Wainfleet drop in for a satisfying meal. Winter hours are Thursday to Sunday 4 - 9. Thanks for a great evening
