I am so thankful for Rapelje Lodge and all the staff. My dad was diagnosed with dementia a few years ago. Over the course of that time he became so hard to care for. We were placed on a emergency list as he was unable to continue living on his own. My dad move in to his forever home (Rapelje Lodge) 2 weeks ago Tuesday and it has been nothing but a lovely experience for him as us as the family. Everyone there welcomed him and made him feel at home from the second he walked in the door. I am for ever thankful to these souls that care for the elderly and make my life a little easier so I can enjoy the time I have left with my dad. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. 🩷
View on GoogleCould I add several more stars? Our family had to find a home for our dad. After several years on a wait list and residing in a for-profit facility, all I can say is WOW. Our family were in tears (of joy) after only two days meeting the staff and seeing what happens there. Our long term care system in Ontario is awful, a place like this made us forget about how long it took to get there and how he lived for those years. We need more places like D.H. Rapelje Lodge for the people we love. They deserve it.
View on Googlei have no worries with this home they are all like family and care for the people they take care of. i have a brotherinlaw in there and just loves the staff to pieces . always smiles at them and i have nothing bad to say for sure.
View on GoogleThe staff from office admin. to cleaning staff are all very kind and caring people - all of whom collectively contribute to the superb care of the clients. I was especially impressed with care-giver, Brad. He was one of my Mom's favorite. Thank you all so very much for everything you did for my mother. My mother loved being at Rapelje Lodge.
View on GoogleBig, airy and clean building. Visited my Uncle here and met up with one of his daughters to enjoy the stay. Easy access in and out parking for visitors. Gardens are well kept and I loved seeing pictures of our famous Welland Canal..always a treat seeing pictures of days long past..keeps me humble.
