I had a very disappointing and humiliating experience at Exchange Currency on Victoria and Clifton Hill. When I walked in, the cashier addressed me in a condescending tone. I politely pointed this out to him, expecting at least some acknowledgment or an apology. Instead, his response was, “That’s how I talk.” This dismissive attitude, especially in front of other patrons, left me feeling disrespected and belittled. Customer service should be rooted in respect and professionalism, but what I experienced was the opposite. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures staff are trained to treat all customers with basic courtesy. This happened yesterday- September 3rd,2025 around 6pm

Horrible rate I got scammed like 40 dollars plz do not go there

Exchange office, to avoid, they are not at all friendly, almost aggressive, and they make very bad rates. They offered me a rate of 1.33 to exchange euros for Canadian dollars. I found the rate low, knowing that a few days before I had exchanged them at the rate of 1.47. So I went to another MART Exchange office, they gave me a rate of 1.45. and on top of that they take a huge commission. I hope I can prevent people from getting scammed.

Went to exchange pound sterling to us dollars, and he gave a rate of 1.13, which wasn't that good, but as he gave me the money, the rate changed to 0.83. So I asked why, and he said we changed the pound sterling to Canadian dollars and then to us dollars. So they tried ripping me off when there is no need to change to Canadian dollars, as they should be able to do it without changing to local currency. I eventually changed some pounds, sterling to Canadian dollars at a 1.5 rate. The actual rate on the day was around 1.7. I wouldn't recommend using them unless you really have to in an emergency. I gave them 3 stars cos my sister left her sunglasses case and she went back after a few hour and she managed to get it back.
