Cosy Restaurant & Tavern

Just ordered (picture) I called a bit late,anyways the food obviously is the last of what they would throw away! The breaded shrimp taste and feels like soggy dough,everything is soggy and kinda stale,it's all going into the garbage, I order from there 2 times a month,not to happy!

Ordered large wonton soups with extra pork. Was given regular size with barely any pork. Called to let them know because I had issues with my last order too but wanted to treat it like a one off. Total avoidance. Claims kitchen says they did everything properly. No willingness to fix the order. It is what it is. I should have known better after my last order. Love supporting local but not if the plan is to rip off customers. Hopefully they change things but I’ll never order again.

The lady one the phone was super nice. Owner is hard to understand and should not deal with any of the issues as she yells, rude and doesn’t understand what you’re trying to say. We spent over 100$ and half of our food was either missing or wrong. We drove across town to pick up the food. 3 items were missing completely and then others were wrong. She yelled and said that they never mess up and mistakes don’t happen there and basically said we were lying over our missing items. After spending 100$ because we didn’t feel like cooking. People are missing orders so don’t have anything to eat, therefore have to cook anyways. Very unprofessional. I highly dont recommend them. I’d rather make the extra trip and drive to magnolia in Niagara Falls as they DO NOT treat their customers like this. Next time I’ll go to the food court in the pen center instead of here for “Chinese” food.

Sadly disappointed. We ordered chicken fried rice, vegetable chop suey. The fried rice had no chicken or anything more in it. Literally all rice. The vegetable chop suey had no vegetables just bean sprouts and a couple pieces of bock choy and 1 piece of broccoli. The ribs were good as well as the Singapore noodles. Will not be ordering again.

Cosy is everything I expected and more. It's like walking into a set of Interior Chinatown (TV show). The faux Chinese roof, the stereotypical duo dragon backdrop, the non-Chinese waiting staff, the Coffee News at the waiting area, the family photos together tell a Canadian Chinese immigration story of resilience and adaptation. Food was amazing, you know the food is authentic when you could taste the toasty nutty flavor from the wok toss over a hot flame. We ordered the sweet and sour chicken, the sliced beef with green peppers, the Yen Doon Koo, the vegetable garden, the Cantonese lo-mein, which we asked to switch to rice noodles and veggies only, so it's vegan. We absolutely devoured the last 2 dishes, and took home 2 boxes of leftovers. The waitress (Unfort, I didn't get her name) was fast and a joy to talk to. Apparently, she had been with the restaurant for 20 years, pretty evident when she effortlessly brought us 5 dishes and a bowl of rice on a large tray balanced on one shoulder. Overall, Cosy is as the name suggested, a cozy restaurant with great Chinese Canadian food. We will be back!
