Asked about the rise in water rates , said the town agreed and voted on such a increase. Why don’t you cut cost and give people a break on the increase in these tough times. Just want to point out the girl I talked to from the when I asked about the increase laughed and thought it was funny , When your on pension it’s not funny, bizarre, behaviour !

Didn’t understand why did this city has such a low score on Google Review until I have to deal with them myself. I was trying to apply for rental license but found their application process is very unclear. One of the staff Barb is very unprofessional and all she did was just patronizing you. If you are looking to invest a property or business, stay away from this city. They won’t offer any help but just give you hard time and try to get money from you. Very unpleasant to deal with them.

Such a terrible experience today. First of, the lady in the reception was not very nice and her behavior was quite aggressive and rude. And she tried to get rid of me when I told her; “I called in earlier today and the person I was talking to on the phone asked me to just walk in to the city.” She answered me back by saying”no we do not except any walk in.” Her tone was full of anger. And then, finally she got me some else to help my with my paperwork, and then they ask me to wait just two minutes. It’s been 30 minutes and no one is helping me until this moment. This is how they serve public in the city of Thorold. What a shame.

The worst experience I’ve ever had with the city. The women at the front desk is awfully rude and did not listen to a word I said. She asked if she could help me with anything, then when I told her my concern she disregarded it and walked away. If you do not want to deal with the problems your job entails, find something more suited for you. Maybe the city should hire more people that can handle issues and not just a housewife.
