Signs every where saying pay for parking , which I was willing to do BUT the machine wouldn't work with a card then tried to get change That machine didn't work either . I'm now 15 mins trying to figure out . Asking ppl behind me who just gave up and went to appointments. Was going to ask pharmacy but line was long and about to late for my appointment Just ridiculous . Sadly 2 other people said same while in waiting room . They gave up !! Better system or just take the paid parking away since half the people don't pay , how fair to those who end up late when I take 20 to 30 mins to just pay

A stellar example of everything wrong with Ontario healthcare. ER Reception let my dad die without ever trying to connect me to him, nor did they let me know the name of his doctor at any point. Three weeks later, Katie at Patient Relations is twirling her hair not answering emails, and Danielle on the Board of Directors is honest to goodness telling me to keep waiting for Katie’s email. Yeah, while I was doing that for three weeks, my dad passed away and I don’t even know where. I used to work in reception, but I don’t need any background training to confirm everyone else’s opinion that the receptionists here are genuinely awful. When you are relaying time-sensitive, life-or-death information, it requires a touch more professionalism than the local FreshCuts. Then again, if the Chair of the Board hasn’t gotten this memo yet, why would any entry level employee? Consider wisely how you place your vote in the upcoming provincial election, because this hospital is somehow more gutted than the ruins of the old one in downtown St. Catharines. Edit: The “resolution” to this is that the hospital where my dad died is for some reason unable to offer bereavement counselling or referrals. They have instead asked me to attempt to access grief counselling in the immediate aftermath of a parent’s death by going around to different ERs and asking them nicely.

I have not met my doctor yet as he has taken over for my doctor who retired. Which been taking telephone appointments than seeing me in person. I have dealt with a really rude receptionist. Just cause i forgot i made an appointment, she made me feel as if i was stupid. Ignorant isnt even the word that suits her. She needs to change her approach on her doctors clients or find a new profession. I am in the Healthcare field. I would NEVER speak to someone like that. ESPECIALLY at my place of work. Disgusting!
