CIBC Branch with ATM

I visited this branch on Feb 20, 2026 around 10:30 am to resolve an issue with my account. After verifying my identity, the staff member asked to check my unlocked phone for a message I couldn’t find, and later asked for my bank card while directing me to wait in the lobby. I felt uncomfortable because I was unable to see what was being done with my phone or my bank card. I do not consider it appropriate for bank staff to request access to a customer’s personal phone without transparency, or to handle a customer’s bank card out of the customer’s sight. Due to this uncomfortable experience, I am unable to leave a positive rating for this branch this time.

This is by far the best CIBC branch I’ve ever been to in terms of customer service and professionalism. Every time I visit, the staff are kind, welcoming, and always do their best to help. Yesterday I was assisted by Julia, and she was absolutely wonderful, kind, patient, and genuinely caring. She noticed that I’m new to Canada and took the time to explain everything clearly and make sure I understood. Her empathy and dedication made me feel truly supported. It was honestly the best banking experience I’ve had in Canada. Thank you, Julia, and thank you to the whole team at this branch for your amazing service!

Terrible & disrespectful experience at this CIBC branch. My debit card wasn’t working for a week, and instead of helping, the teller (MARY) told me to go test it at the Dollar Store next door. When it still didn’t work, I came back and was served by JULIA, who was rude and unprofessional. She finally gave me a new card — something that should’ve been done right away. Very poor customer service.

This is my local bank and I come here than most often. They do not have weekend hours, which is a let down, however they do have a very friendly and courteous staff. Usually on Fridays they do a customer appreciation and put out some type of snack and beverage. They always have fresh water on hand if you have to wait in line.
