Chippy's Fish & Chips

Best fish&chips in southern Ontario by far. No you can’t dine in or get delivery but for the money you pay there is nothing better to take home and enjoy. I’ve eaten f&s from Ontario to BC and this is the best f&s. They could easily charge more for what you get.

This place is only open on Fridays right now and they close at 7:30. I started calling to place and order at 5:45 and the message said they were not taking calls. I tried until 6:30 and my husband said I will just go there. When he got there the staff was drinking and partying and said they were closed. I was very disappointed. They could have put a message on the phone saying they were closed

This place has become our go to fish and chip place. The portions are great, (think mini fish steaks), and you can’t really complain about the price. Our order is usually The Double which comes with 4 pieces of fish on a bed of fries. A really nice thing is oil must be changed out regularly. This will usually feed my wife and I although sometimes we do order an extra fry.

Considering it houses a Champions location, it's not as bad as I would expect. Beer prices are decent and the servers are nice. Only wish the seating was set up better and the TV's all worked. Great price on fish & chips!

We live in Hamilton, and will drive to Stoney Creek to pick up an order from Chippy's. The portions are generous, the orders are always prepared when you place them (as opposed to some other places that make a bunch and leave it sitting around), and the value for money is great. You can call ahead to place an order so it is ready when you arrive, instead of having to wait around for 15 minutes or so. The menu is limited, but the fish is good quality. Except that they don't wrap the orders in newspaper, this is about as close to a real 'take away chippy' in England as you can get in Canada. If you pick up an order to take home, chances are good that you won't be able to get all the way home without digging in the box to sample the chips!
