Cheers - Yia Mas Greek Restaurant

Almost five years living in Welland and we finally decided to visit Cheers for dinner - I guess good things are worth waiting for! We split a spanokopita plate (five samosa sized pieces), I had the pork souvlaki dinner (in a pita) and my wife had the Horiatiki salad. Everything was generously portioned and very tasty. I was floored by the size of the feta wedge on my wife's salad. Nice to see that they had a local brewery's (Kame & Kettle) cream ale on tap. Quick and attentive service and we sat in the upstairs dining area which was quieter and brighter than the lower bar area. We'll be back!

Family favorite spot! Attentive, friendly staff and great food at every visit. From chicken dinners, feta fries to Greek burgers....every bite is full of flavor. ❤️

Hadn't been to Cheers since long before it changed hands. Stopped in for lunch with a friend and glad I did. The restaurant has been nicely freshened up and is very welcoming. The food was terrific! Greek burger came with real French fries (not those awful coated ones everybody seems to be using these days) liberally sprinkled with feta. My friend had the chicken dinner which was souvlaki wrapped in a pita that came with a nice Greek salad and lemon potatoes. Quick, efficient and super friendly service. Will definitely visit again...

Ordered the 3 skewer chicken souvlaki meal with 1 lb hot wings for pick up. The server was lovely and helpful. Food was ready on time, portions were large, food was fresh and delicious. Really pleased with the experience. Will definitely be ordering again. I didn't rate the atmosphere, only because I didn't really spend enough time to gauge. But everything has been updated and fresh since prior owners. Great job!

Ordered take-out. Food was ready on time and hot, freshly made. Friendly staff. Had cheers burger with fries and beef dunk with onion rings. All was tastey. Gravy had good flavour. Personal preference would be thinner gravy. Picture shows each sandwich cut for sharing. Not huge but plenty for our dinner. Very reasonable prices. Edit July 18, 2025. Went back after new ownership. Again came away with positive outcome. Had fish and chips as posted in picture. Split 2 fish order and was fine for 2 people. Definitely recommended.
