Chateau des Charmes Wines

From a wedding photographer’s perspective, Château des Charmes is a beautiful and relaxed winery venue with a timeless feel. The vineyards create a stunning natural backdrop, especially during golden hour, and the property has that quiet elegance Niagara is known for. The wedding I photographed had the reception in the tent, which worked beautifully. It felt intimate but still spacious, with soft light filtering through and views of the vineyard all around. What I love most is how easy it is to photograph here. You get classic vineyard rows, textures, and clean architectural lines. It’s a great choice for couples who want a romantic winery setting that feels refined but not overly formal.

We visited Chateau des Charmes on Valentines Day 2026 and the Chateau Signature Tour. Our host was Galina and she was simply outstanding. Her deep knowledge and demeanor really made the tour very enjoyable. We also enjoyed the different wines we tried, especially the 2022 Gamay Noir ' Droit'. We took advantage of the shop and bought some bottles to take home. Following the tour we went to the second floor and had a glass of wine and a delicious charcuterie. Our server was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable. The views of the vineyards from our table were very scenic. The vineyards were covered in snow, but beautiful regardless. We also enjoyed the young woman who was playing her guitar and singing near the entrance, she was great. Overall, our experience at Chateau des Charmes was superior. Highly recommend a visit here.

My husband and I had our wedding at Château des Charmes this past August, and I highly recommend this venue. The staff made our experience wonderful—from our first tour and food and wine tasting all the way through our wedding day. They were welcoming and incredibly helpful throughout our entire wedding journey. A special thank you to our wedding coordinator, Paula. She was absolutely incredible and played such a huge role in making our experience so seamless and enjoyable. She was extremely attentive to our questions, consistently helpful, and went above and beyond—handling everything with kindness and patience, even with our many changes and questions along the way. Beyond the amazing staff, Château des Charmes is a stunning property with delicious food catered by Queen’s Landing and exceptional wine. Thank you to everyone at the venue for making this such a special and memorable part of our day.

We spent the day driving around checking out wineries. This was our final stop. What a way to end the day! The building is absolutely stunning, and the service just made the whole visit worthwhile. John served us and he's absolutely a wealth of knowledge and a pure delight to chat with. He showed us the cellars and gave us so much history and information. His service with us at our table was above and beyond. Because of John and the delicious wine we tried we will definitely be back! We are now even considering this beautiful winery as a location for your wedding. Thank you John for making our experience one of a kind and an absolute delight!

Our visit to Château des Charmes in Niagara on the Lake was a dream! It's the most peaceful and serene winery I've ever visited! We were lucky to be there on a gorgeous sunny day, and the backyard area was the perfect spot to unwind. Their big, comfy white leather couches made it easy to sit back with our drinks, relax, and enjoy every minute of quiet conversation surrounded by the picturesque setting. The gentleman who greeted us was truly made for his role. He was incredibly personable and professional. He did a fantastic job explaining all of our options when we arrived and guided us effortlessly through the experience. There are plenty of choices, from tastings and individual glasses to cocktails and mocktails. My mojito came out initially missing some mint and muddling, but they handled it beautifully. The bartender immediately made things right, remade the drink perfectly, and even comped it with a genuine smile. The kind of old school, attentive hospitality ( becoming increasingly rare these days), they absolutely excelled at it! Overall, Château des Charmes completely exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere, the people, and the impeccable attention to guests made for a memorable and relaxing afternoon. We’ll definitely be back!
