Went for the first time today. Wonderful experience with Louie. Cut my hair well and the shave was a wonderful experience, A most pleasant and kind man. I think now I should go there after my doctor’s appointment next door every month.

Step In for a Trim, Step Out Transformed! My husband recently visited Carlton Barbershop and came out looking like a brand-new man! I couldn’t believe it. The transformation was amazing — clean, sharp, and confident. The shop itself is spotless, and the atmosphere is just as impressive. Louie and his colleague were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience enjoyable from start to finish. You can tell they care about every detail — from the haircut to the overall vibe of the place. There is lots of free parking; a bonus versus barbershops downtown. Nothing like a local barber! If you are looking for great service, a clean space, and a skilled barber, Louie is your guy. Highly recommended calling for an appointment!

First and foremost Sam is the kindest human. His shop is magic, clean, kind, and inclusive. 🌈 I have chronic pain from a broken neck. And TN a nerve condition that impacts my face. Without skipping a beat when I told Sam he said “that’s ok we can do your hair, you tell me more when you come.” Then I got to have Ahmed cut my hair. He was so gentle. He moved my head like I wasn’t disabled. He was gentle, sensitive and asked for consent using the razor and adjusted the neck rest so I never had to sit in pain. He has just come to 🇨🇦and our country is so lucky to have such a kind human. Little English but he was so intuitive. If I did need to move he just responded, adjusting and coming back. He also didn’t sit on one section of my hair which can be so trigger for my TN with the vibration. It felt honestly like he was dancing around to a song that played in his head. And he even trimmed my eye brows. Another thing Sam asked that he might not know was so important to me was “can you smell this and tell me if it might be too much.” He didn’t use a chemical that might irritate my TN or head, when often I am battling a headache. It honestly brings tears to my eyes thinking about how grateful I was for them being so inclusive cutting a queer woman’s hair, and also respecting my disability as if I didn’t have one. If you love someone who has any anxiety about hair cutting, know this shop is so supportive. And the young men they are training will have an education their parents can be so proud. In an ever changing world just remember there are very kind humans who come from all over the world to make Canada 🇨🇦 a wonderful place to call home.

This place is AWESOME! I brought my little brother to this shop and Caleb did his haircut and beard. Not gonna lie, my brother looked like a wild animal before his haircut LOL. Caleb did an amazing job, paying attention to every little detail. The vibe is chill and the staff is super friendly. I would 100% recommend this place. Just call them in advance to make an appointment.
