Canton House

Been going here with my family since I was a kid and now ordering for my own family. Great quality, everything is fresh and delicious and worth the money. You get what you pay for. We tried many chinese places while they were closed, non compared. Great portions, even have some leftover for tomorrow.

Extremely disappointed. The prices are outrageously high for what you get, and the food was honestly terrible. Everything we ordered tasted bland, or just plain off. The portions didn’t justify the cost at all, and it felt like a complete waste of money. For a restaurant charging premium prices, I expected quality and flavor. Definitely not worth it, and won’t be ordering from here again.

Recently moved to my new home in this neighborhood. I had not had Chinese Food in months and was craving some. I decided to give Canton house a try as they had a lot of great reviews. So I ordered four dishes. Their spring rolls are easily the largest and the best I've ever had, the black pepper chicken was amazing, the beef with mixed vegetables truly satisfied with the variety of fresh vegetables, and the chicken fried rice was excellent. Canton house will definitely become my go to place for Chinese Food! 多謝你 Thank you!

I've been eating here since the early 90's back in the day that they had the buffet, later they had dine in, takeout and delivery. Unfortunately now they only have the takeout option. We moved away from Welland about 25 years ago and recently moved back. Tried many places in the western part of the GTA: Mississauga, Brampton, Milton and Acton but must say that no other place had Chinese food as tasty as the Canton House. Over the past 3 decades the food remains very consistent. Definitely the best Chinese food I've ever had. Only complaint I have is related to the hours of operations and also there have been at least a couple of lengthy closures in the past years. It would be nice to have earlier opening hours at least on weekends. Also the delivery option would be much appreciated. Their black pepper chicken is absolutely amazing and nobody can make them like they do. Hope that with the revival of Welland this place can return to the way it used to operate back in the day.

The Canton house is our go-to spot. We picked up our family fav tonight- dinner for 3 sub beef with veg for black pepper chicken and an order of Singapore noodle. Mrs. And I got to talking while I was waiting for my order and she said they've been open 40 years now and won the award for best Chinese food this summer. She did say that some nights are quite slow and it's thanks to the regulars for keeping them steady most weekends. They used to have a great buffet but due to too much food waste, they had to stop and after covid, are takeout only now. The food is awesome consistently. We've been eating here since before I was born. (Mom craved the egg rolls I've been told) I don't think they offer delivery, I always pickup. Worth the drive. Kind people fantastic food💜
