Joe turned our severely outdated main living space kitchen and bathroom into a modern and functional space and it turned out exactly as designed and intended providing us with a product worthy of an award. After living in our home for 25 years we decided to take on the major kitchen renovation project. With neither of us being design oriented, we needed help putting things together. Joe helped us get our project started with a consultation in our home to discuss our wants and needs. The next day he sent us our new cabinetry design! He offered his decades of kitchen design experience and helped us with all of our amateur questions. He was always available to answer all of our questions as things progressed. Our cabinets were installed within the initially agreed upon timeline with absolutely no issues. No surprises! No delays! The gentlemen who did the installation were extremely knowledgeable and efficient and performed in a professional manner. The whole installation only took 2 days with a third day to accommodate the flooring installation for the island. Another important reason for us choosing Canaan Cabinetry was to support local businesses and Canadian products. We believe that this being a family owned company has alot to do with the friendliness and accountability that one would not necessarily find in a bigger company. We first used Canaan Cabinetry back in 2016 to remodel our kitchen. Previously a very dated and dark kitchen from the 70s, we were inspired by a farmhouse design. Canaan demoed walls and installed new load bearing beams. They worked with an electrician to install pot lights throughout. We chose to go with Thermafoil doors and laminate countertops. The team helped us choose everything from paint color to hardware finishes and even installed our floors throughout our living area. They also installed wall units throughout our living room to match. We were so impressed with the work the Canaan team did that we hired them again in 2024 to redo our entire lower level of our home. Previously an open 800 sq ft space with a small half bath, we worked with Joe Sr (owner) to create a design that worked for our family. We were able to add a Master Suite with wet bar, built in closets, 3 piece full bath, storage room, family room and mudroom. Everything from flooring, electric, plumbing and finishing was all coordinated by Canaan. They made the process seamless and were exceptionally professional and clean. Making sure to lay protective barriers on the floors and cleaning up everyday. The workers were very polite and notified us every day of what they would be doing and when they would return the next day. We can’t recommend Canaan to our friends enough.
