Budapest Bakeshop Port Dalhousie

So fresh & so delicious! Worth every penny. I had the aged cheddar plain, absolutely perfect on its own. The place was clean, bright and smelled phenomenal. My only complaint was getting into the place if you have accessibility issues. Also wish there were tables to sit and eat inside in the winter.

I have to say I was not impressed with this visit to the Budapest bakery bake shop in Port Dalhousie. We ordered two chimney stacks one cinnamon sugar with skor and toffee center and then a coconut chimney stack with coconut cheesecake center. My husband and I stepped away to the car for a minute came back inside to pick up our treat, paid $21 only to get home open the bag and see the girl gave us two cinnamon sugar and skor toffee chimney stacks. She also rang up our order for $85.00 and we were like, um, no. Just the whole time it seemed like the girl behind the counter didn’t know what she was doing and we are the ones who paid for it. I am so aggravated they got our order wrong and we didn’t realize til we got home. Shame on us for not checking before we left. But shame on them for not ringing it in correctly to begin with which is where I think she screwed up the order. Very very disappointed. Don’t get me wrong the treats there are amazing but their staff needs more training to work the counter.

Delicious sandwiches and desserts! I had the Salami sandwich and Oreo cheesecake chimney cake for dessert. Great little spot for a bite to eat! It’s a small storefront so don’t expect to be able to sit inside, there is plenty of seating within short walking distance. Remember to be patient with the staff, they are working hard to provide a fresh product that is worth the wait. If you’re in the area, stop by, you won’t be disappointed.

Ordered a pepperoni chimney, bacon & cheddar chimney, turkey sandwich, garlic dip and a marinara dip. And EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. the chimneys themselves are a delicious treat. But the turkey sandwich was the best sandwich I’ve had in a very long time (possibly best sandwich of all time). On top of that, both dipping sauces are FANTASTIC. The garlic is the best garlic dip I have ever had. And the marinara dip goes so well with the chimneys too. If I come back, I will probably just order the sandwiches over the chimneys only. I highly recommend the turkey or game sandwich. Only down side - there is no where to eat inside the bake shop. It’s basically a take out only place.
