BOOTLEGGER: The Pen Centre

Friendly, and helpful staff. Love this store location, so happy they didnt close!!

Great service by both ladies. Went above and beyond for me trying on many pairs of pants.

I’ve been a loyal Bootlegger customer for over 10 years, but my experience at the Pen Centre location on November 5th was very disappointing. There were three employees working, two younger women and one older woman who seemed to be training the staff. When I went to return some items I purchased online on October 25th, the older employee immediately said my order was “past the 30 days” without even looking at the receipt. When I pointed out the actual date, she told me everything was final sale (which wasn’t mentioned anywhere on my receipt) and refused to even scan the items or offer an exchange or store credit. The younger employee apologized, but the older one was dismissive and unhelpful. Her tone and attitude made me feel uncomfortable, and honestly, it came across as prejudiced, as if she had decided to be rude to me before I even spoke. I’ve always loved Bootlegger for its quality and service, but this experience has made me hesitant to shop at this location again.

Sale for 80cad silver jeans was a good price these days. Good 100% cotton shirts too, also go on sale sometimes. Laura was nice to chat with aswell

Bootlegger is one of my favorite stores. I do a lot of online shopping since I don't live close to the store. When I do go into the store, the staff are usually welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Other than one time when a lady said to me "that size won't fit, you should go up a few sizes", when I wasn't asking for help at all. Other than that, I love the store. It is very trendy and I would recommend checking it out. The photo below is a pair of capris I just bought.
