1st time B&B. So this is a new experience for us. Room was perfect. Breakfast was served at 9am. My ppartner has dietary practices which they accommodated. Breakfast was interesting. Meeting new people. My only thing that I didnt understand is when we checked in you had to leave your shoes at the door. They did however provide slippers.
View on Googlesuper easy to walk to/from, close to Wego buses also. the room was super clean and cozy and the bed was very comfy! the neighborhood was quiet and the breakfast was very nice.
View on GoogleWe had a wonderful stay at this place in this summer. Karen, the owner was so kind and welcoming. The house and room remains neat and quite surrounded by garden, it will make you feel like you're staying in a vintage suite. The location is just 10-15 mins away from Clifton hill, City Cruises, Falls view and other major attractions. The breakfast was especially the best and delicious.
View on GoogleI rely heavily on honest reviews when choosing accommodations, so I feel it’s important to provide a transparent account of my experience. I was genuinely surprised by the consistently high ratings for this property, as they did not reflect the experience we had. I’d also like to note that I’m unable to leave a review on booking.com Upon arrival, there was no clear signage or instruction on where to park or how to check in. We waited inside for some time before having to call for assistance. While the owner was very kind and welcoming, the condition of the home itself was disappointing. When helping carrying our luggage up the stairs (after I declined help) the host scratched my brand new suitcase hitting it on the stairs railing. She apologized, but it was extremely frustrating. The interior was very cluttered, and had a strong musty odor, masked by overpowering plug-in air fresheners. The floors creaked excessively with even the slightest movement, and the upstairs area was uncomfortably warm—while the downstairs thermostat read 74°F, it felt significantly hotter upstairs, likely in the 80s. The complimentary chocolates were melted, and the cookies provided were expired. While the sheets and towels appeared clean, there was noticeable dust buildup and hair throughout the space. The soap and shampoo bottles in the bathroom were crusted over, and the shower curtain was stained and extremely dirty suggesting a lack of attention to detail in cleanliness. Additionally, the safety of the neighborhood felt questionable. The room we stayed in was missing a smoke detector. Which is a major safety issue in itself. Breakfast presentation was aesthetically pleasing, but unfortunately, the quality was lacking. There was no choice in what was served, and we received undercooked bacon on both mornings—raw in sections—along with eggs that were watery and overly oily. Most of the food ended up being discarded. One evening I came inside and left the door unlocked as my spouse was still gathering things from our vehicle. In that short amount of time they locked the door with no regard of a guest being right outside about to come in. Which was obnoxious as I had my spouses phone so they had no way to contact me or anyone to get inside. Luckily I had to go back out so I was able to unlock it before they tried to come inside. While I appreciated the host’s friendliness, the property fell short in many key areas and did not meet expectations based on the reviews I had read.
View on GoogleThis was the first time staying in a B&B and what a fantastic experience. Our host was fabulous, room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Location was perfect, nice and close to the falls and public transportation. The breakfast was probably the best I've had at any place I've ever stayed. Highly recommend and look forward to a future visit! Thank you so much.
