Blackbeards Barber Shop

I went on thursday around 4:25 pm and saw they were closed for the day. Well before the 6pm closing time on their sign outside. Very dissapointed. Guess I paid for parking for nothing.

One of the barbers there gave me a decent cut when I first moved here, but since then - he’s completely butchering my hair the past year or so. It’s happened about 3x now. I ask for a fade down to 0, and a bit off the top. His fade takes maybe 15-20 mins. He doesn’t spend time changing the clipper lengths and working his way down - my other guy used to take 30-40 minutes on just the fading. There’s no attention to detail here. He doesn’t care. He also has no idea how to style the top. I’ll ask for him to clean up the top , and he gets thinning shears out and completely ruins the flow and volume of my hair. Butchers the bangs. It’s absolutely brutal. Can’t believe I ever paid for a cut there - last few times I was so embarrassed. The guy should get a new job. I just went to william Gomez barber shop for a cut, and I couldn’t be more happy. He did an unbelievable job - guy named John. William is apparently even better. I’ll never be going to Blackbeard’s again. And I would recommend that you don’t either. There’s a lot of better places.

I barely post reviews but my 14 year old son was really really upset at the final result of his haircut. He had longer curly hair and was so adamant about not cutting the length, which I reiterated many times. Chris ended up cutting more than half of his hair off. I had time to get my coffee from the car and came back to see locks of my son hair all over the floor. I was instantly devastated at how my son would feel and react and hate me for finally convincing him to go, cause he was terrified they'd cut the length, that he's been growing for a year now. I told him then that he was supposed to keep the length and he said his hair was tangled so he had to cut it. No, he could have said I'm an incompetent enough to brush through curly hair, do you want me to cut it? To which we would have said either pass mom the brush and I'll brush it or see ya later. But he said nothing. We left in tears, but payed him, only to go around the block and go back for a refund. When we went in, my son asked for a refund, he tossed the money in my hand, I proceeded to explain that his length was super important and like I said before I PROMISSED him that this barber would do what he asked and wanted. He almost shushed me lifting is hand saying "just.......just go......" I took the money and turned to leave and he says "and don't ever come back". Listen Buddy.... I said it ALOT , how important it was to NOT cut the length. You cut way more than half and you give US attitude and rudeness???? When we were actually nice to him after he chopped off his locks. No thanks. I had heard nothing but good things about this shop. Heard Ryan was amazing and it was a great place to go. So I booked, but Ryan wasn't available so we got Chris. I figured if Ryan got such good recommendations, And I wanted it done before school. His hair cut looks good on him, but it is NOT at all what he wanted. Now I have a devestated 13 year old son with hair he didn't want, two days before school. I know stuff happens but this could have been handled better. And the rudeness wasn't necessary. If we weren't rude, sure as hell he shouldn't have been.

Was without a barber a few years back and my brother referred me to this place. Cleanliness was on point. The prices were on point. The tunes in the background were definitely on point! The staff and manager are very down to earth peeps and also amazing artists. If you have a beard or love a good shave. This is a great place to go. I Don't have a negative thing to say about this place. I now bring my son for cuts and we're both regulars.. Oh and the hot towels are fantastic. Cheers.

First time trying a local barbershop and I was definitely not disappointed​. The moment you walk in you are greeted by a friendly bunch of barbers and you can tell they are passionate about their job. I had Lindsay cutting my hair and she was awesome, very friendly and was able to educate me on how to cut and style my hair better. I left completely satisfied with a fresh shave and cut. I will be returning for sure! Definitely try these guys out!
