Bell Group Home Improvements

The Bell Group did my roof a few years ago. Because they did such a good job, I called them again when I needed a new window for my kitchen. They came over, took out the old one and put in a new easy-to-slide very clear window. The men who did the job were pleasant and did the work promptly. I would recommend the Bell Group to anyone.

In June 2019, mom and I had the dining room and living room windows replaced. After 4 quotes we chose Bell Group Home Improvements as they were in the median of the quotes. The windows selected are energy efficient. This is obvious by the lack of draught coming into the house; not only that, but the outside sounds from the windows are muted. The windows add to the overall pleasant look of the house both indoors and outdoors. The work was done in an extremely professional manner by workers who respected the indoor and outdoor environments. The workers were friendly and personable. They cleaned up after themselves. Fern Bell was clear in the services that would be provided, and the timeline of completion. Fern was in touch regularly to ensure that the work was proceeding as agreed to. Fern took time to ensure that our window needs were met. Mom and I are extremely satisfied and will not hesitate to use Bell Group Home Improvement again.

Bell Group did some extensive upgrades to our home exterior including siding, insulation, soffits and fascia. From the beginning design stage to completion, Ms Bell had great new ideas for style and colour and employed extremely competent craftsmen who were always professional and cooperative. We are thrilled with our completed project which was on time and on budget.

I had Bell Group do my roof, 35 windows, and 2 entrance doors. I have absolutely no complaints. The work was professional and timely. If there were delays I was informed as to how long and why. The owner of Bell Group constantly put in an appearance to make sure the work was done to specs. I don’t understand why she got the bad review. I guess the internet makes an expert of everyone. I would hire them again for any jobs I need done.

A HORRIBLE HORRIBLE company! DO NOT let them near your home. A Very Unprofessional company. We started to notice they we very incompetent and in way over there heads. Our list of concerns were mocked and ignored excuses for everything, we were told that we didn’t know what we were talking about. They were butchering and hacking our home. We had to put a stop to it. They would only come 3 hours a day to “so called work”. Then were told that they are on pain killers and can’t work a whole day! After talking to the suppliers for our job I was told that they have nothing but troubles with this company. They installed 2 doors that had to be taken out and reinstalled because they were not square or level. The casing was binding on the door and there was daylight coming threw the seals. Multiple holes for screws put though the casing of the door which should have been through the jam, the installation of capping around the door was hollow and big gaps where the water can get threw. The windows were weeks late then held ransom for money, I had to get someone else to install the windows. 5 out of 14 were measured incorrectly. and the opening s needed to be modified. After talking to multiple siding companies I was told it all has taken off. The list starts by the corners not all cut evenly not level and are screwed on. All the J channel was butted up and not overlapped and was screwed on. They used 1x3” strapping over the stucco which should be no more then @ 16” centre and they have it at 18”. They used 1 1/2” nails to for the siding leaving a 5/8” gap so the siding is very loose and sloppy. No undersil or starter strips were used. Siding no attached in some spots. Holes around all the electrical boxes and utilities we oversized. the board and batten was not centred to the walls leaving a very unappealing. The list goes on and on! Yes this is an older home and has its issues but there is no excuse for the lack workmanship and professionalism. You new the job before you started it. We were ripped off!! Companies like this should not be aloud to be in business. These people are a true example of why Mike Holmes has such a successful tv show!
