I am a fairly new client and I am very pleased with the level of professionalism and courteous service I have experienced the few times I have been here. Neva is a master at her craft. She's a great stylist and checks with you throughout the process making sure from start to finish the look you want is achieved. I'm definitely a happy client!

This is my second visit and the service was great as usual. I got the scalp detox and the moisture treatment. My hair feels and looks great. Coming here is like a self care day for me. The staff is pleasant and Neva always does a good job with my hair. She is very experienced and well trained to handle type 4 hair textures.

I went to this salon 8 days ago and saw Neva, the owner. Meeting with Neva she was very informative and educated me on my hair. But, unfortunately I was not satisfied with my cut- one side was longer than the other. She stated she was going for a more “asymmetrical” cut, since I was not happy with it she was nice enough to let me come back the next evening, opening up her salon just so I could get a more even cut. Although she did cut it again, after washing and styling my hair I found more uneven pieces. Overall, the one side was still slightly longer and I had to cut multiple random long pieces sticking out all throughout. Sad to say I won’t be returning but I am grateful for the customer service and that Neva tried to rectify her mistake, although never fully resolved.

Giving 1 star because that's the lowest available. Horrible customer service, booked an appointment and got there 15 minutes before the time only to see her doing someone else's hair that wouldn't be finished for my time slot. I asked her about it and her excuse was she didn't know the client had that much hair. 15 minutes after my appointment time I asked again for a time frame that she thought she would be able to get to me and she nonchalantly told me when she was done with that client. I pressed for a time and she said 20 minutes, (I am not a stylist but I could see that it wouldn't take 20 minutes). I told her I would leave at 5 p.m. if it wasn't done and she just liked at me as if she could careless. I asked what about calling to let me know she was running late and she just shrug and said she should have but she was busy. 25 minutes later at 5:15 I checked again. At least another 15 minutes would be needed to complete this clients hair. She got bothered, maybe annoyed, and offered to return the deposit. She was sure to point out that I "had only paid my deposit late last night". So what? It's not like I called to cancel or made the appointment last minute. Obviously no respect for her clients' time and feelings. Why would she, they already took a $30 deposit that they claim is non-refundable and had it been the other way around they would be charging clients for their time. Another poor excuse pointing out that it's a Caribbean salon, and they are usually behind schedule especially on a Saturday. Again, so why not call the clients to notify them. Needless to say I left 45 minutes after the scheduled appointment with a bad taste in my mouth, no deposit and my daughter missed her nap time for this. Will update this review once the deposit is returned,(or maybe not). update1: wow, thanks for responding to my review. If I wasn't there and I wasn't the one it happened to I would probably think the clients were in the wrong and are exactly as you described them. There are so many untrue things in your response, but I guess you have to say those things to save face and vilify your customers. Whether this is the owner or the stylist, you should both be ashamed. There was no avenue for communication.

Had a lovely hair-braiding experience today with the beautiful ladies at Beauty by Nature. Not only was my hair braided in a timely manner, it was done professionally, efficiently and just as I wanted— received many compliments from friends as well. I also felt very comfortable and welcomed by all staff from the moment I sat in the chair. Great vibes, friendly atmosphere and no judgement, which I greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for great hair services in the Niagara region! ✅
