Was gifted a $50 gift card to bjays by a small business owner who bought multiple gift cards off bjays to support small businesses. When I called to ask if bjays would honour the gift card they said their menu is more expensive now so they’ll only honour $30 on the gift card. Which makes no sense. But my girlfriend went in anyways & had them sign a new gift card with the new value of $30. She gifted the gift card to an elderly client of hers that is local to chippawa. When he went in to use the gift card within the same month of them signing it for $30 they would not honour it & made him pay for his food.
View on GoogleA nice small place to hang out with friends. Their chicken wings are pretty big, and you can tell they’re fresh and good quality. And there’s a pool table which is pretty nice.
View on GoogleAmazing food. Our server was amazing. Traditional Greek entrees and old school bar food. Great music and a fun pool table to hang with friends.
View on GoogleA quaint little bar with local people and amazing food. I travel quite a bit and love new foods. The restaurant looked fun but some of the reviews were a littke less than favorable. Since it is less than a mile from where we were staying and the overall rating was above a 4.0, we decided to give it a try. Crystal was our waitress and was really great to get to know. She reminded me a little of a sister I have in Seattle, Washington in the states. I ordered the New Zealand Lamb Chops and subbed poutine for the fries. I hqve had New Zealond lamb chops before, but this is the first time I have had them precut off the rack. I was concerned about them being precut was absolutely surprised when they were so tender and juicy, but just cooked enough so that they had the slightest chew that makes biting into a piece of meat so satisfying. The meat came right off the bone and I could not have been happier. Being from the states, I have not had poutine very often, but anytime I travel to Canada, I get some of that goodness. This is by far the best poutine I have ever had. The french fries were so good, my wife could not stop eating them...she never does that. We asked Crystal what made them so good and she said they are hand cut every day and they use aromatics. I don't know which aromatics are used, but they should have more of these where we come from. Take those amazing fries and put the best brown gravy I have had in years along with a soft shredded (not cubed) cheese that was slighly melty when you get them. The cheese pull was shocking. If I lived here, I would have a bigger weight problem. My wife ordered the fish and chips. The fish and chips are made of haddock, so the flavor was not fishy and took on the flavoring of the amazing breading and seasoning very well. She loved the fries so much she almost ate them all. She usually will only eat 4 or 5 fries. You have no idea how incredibly wonderful she found these. I don't know why some others had a problem, we loved it. We tried to thank the cook, but he had just left. I do have to say that it is a bit pricey, but it was well worth it. If you are in the area, do yourself some flavor and visit.
View on GoogleFirst time we had a very bad experience here. Today Sunday 9 October at 17:05 , we decided to have a drink, the girl that is in the bar is very very rude, her attitude is the worse service, we asked her name and she didn’t wanted to tell me, I asked for the manager and she said is not here. She is fast and blond hair so if you decided to come here and you see her better to walked away.
