Avondale Food Stores

Decent price. Was looking for a specific item for a friend; a simple Dr Pepper. I had to search and was lucky to find a couple small plastic bottles of it.

Haven't gone into this Avondale for many years cause it was always dumpy and dirtier than a baby's shitty diaper, riffraff always hanging about. What a change, very clean and bright inside. The young lady working on Mother's Day of 2025 was very pleasant and welcoming. Definitely be back.

The dude wouldnt let me pay with a $50 for some made up reason, then asked me why i just dont use my card. Whats next, are we not going to let people pay with $20s? Not going to stop by here.

The individual behind the counter is so kind and efficient! What a great person! He’s there every time I walk in and always greets me and makes sure I have everything I need! Such a positive experience!

The treatment by this one women, older blonde/reddish hair is absolutely disgusting. She should not be employed in a customer service role. She is so rude every time you go into the store for YEARS that I decided I wouldn't shop there anymore. I have continued to go to the post office, which again, every single time this woman is either making rude remarks to me, another customer or talking to other staff while I'm waiting. Last time I was in there, she loudly said to her co-worker across the store "I refuse to let that woman back in MY store." It clearly isn't her store and she also shouldn't make statements like that in front of customers. The entitlement is unreal, she has clearly worked there for too long. They are closing the Canada Post outlet at this location and this woman says its because SHE doesn't want to deal with the rude post office customers. Who says that! I was shocked, she is a bully to everyone. I can't imagine any employees there are happy. Every other Avondale I have been to in my 30+ years in Niagara has been amazing, I can't think of anytime where someone was rude. This particular store has a trend on reviews and its the same one or two people that are unwelcoming and rude.
