I just had the most perfect deep tissue massage with Sylvia. I came in with pain in my knees and hips from weightlifting. My knee was locked up and painful. Sylvia listened to my needs and proceeded to fix me. I feel great right now but I do know it is not entirely fixed so I will be back weekly and then monthly for maintenance so I can continue lifting. A very knowledgeable and professional RMT; highly recommend!

I have had awesome massages this past month with Silviya, Stefania & Gia. I love that each of the ladies have their own technique and they were all great! I also got my nails done by Lydia & they were great! Thanks so much ladies!

I have been in the spa industry for 21 years. Athena’s Spa is always clean and staff is welcoming. I go for therapeutic massage and pedicures. Very professional and clean. Staff are well educated and knowledgeable. Highly recommend Silvyia (RMT) and Tracey (Aesthetics). I have going there every 4-5 weeks for a few years or more!

If you are pregnant, I would not recommend this place. My pain got worse after massage. The service is below satisfactory. I want to clarify the facts here, because the response from Athena Beauty Massage Salon—and Scott (owner of salon) in particular—has been misleading and unfairly placing blame on me publicly. I booked a massage at Athena Beauty Massage Salon in Niagara Falls because I had mild back and shoulder pain. After the massage, instead of feeling relief, I experienced significant pain, to the point where I struggled to stand and walk properly. This was not something I exaggerated or made up—it was my genuine physical condition immediately after the session. During the massage itself, there were multiple issues. One of my legs was completely missed during the massage, and at no point did the therapist explain why this was happening or what technique was being used. No massage therapist can claim to be 100% perfect, and in my case, something was clearly done incorrectly, as it directly resulted in pain rather than relief. I contacted the salon only to explain my experience and to inform them of what happened. I did not demand anything excessive. I asked for a refund once, and at no point did I receive a genuine apology for the pain and distress I experienced. Instead of saying something as basic as, “We’re sorry you had a bad experience, even if we can’t offer a refund,” the entire conversation turned into blaming me. What is most disappointing is the public response from scott. Rather than acknowledging my experience, he chose to defend himself by putting words in my mouth, implying things I never said, and suggesting I had other motives. I never asked for special treatment, extra time, or any “credit reward.” The salon was closed when I tried calling—there was no answer—and yet this was somehow turned against me publicly. The way this was handled felt rude, dismissive, and defensive. Instead of listening to my complaint and understanding why I was upset, scott focused on collecting so-called “evidence” to protect the salon’s image and shift the blame entirely onto me. That is not professional customer service, especially when someone is reporting pain after a massage. I shared a simple, honest review about my experience. I did not attack the salon—I described what happened to me. Responding by questioning my integrity and blaming me publicly is not okay. This review is not written out of anger but out of disappointment. A professional business should be able to accept feedback, acknowledge a client’s pain, and respond with empathy—even if they disagree. Unfortunately, that did not happen here. I am sharing this so others can make an informed decision and understand not only the quality of the massage but also how concerns are handled afterward.
