Aspira Heatherwood Retirement Living

I visited Heatherwood last month with my baby chicks. The residents at Heatherwood are a FUN group of people. The atmosphere in the home is uplifting.

As a Courier for Purolator I deliver packages to this retirement community quite often. The staff are always welcoming and very helpful when it comes to making sure the residents get their packages. I also notice that the Residents are always busy doing something. Weather its playing pool, listening to live music, or reading the newspaper in their favourite chair, they always look like they are enjoying life to the fullest.

I have been living at the Heatherwood Retirement Residence since February 2010. My husband, who had had a stroke, and I were very fortunate to have found this residence since we could not return to our townhouse. We really have really enjoyed living here because we have a wonderful set of staff and management that cater very well to our needs. After my husband passed away in 2017, I have continued to live here to enjoy the companionship of everyone here. I also try to participate in the activities provided so that I can contribute whatever I can to make our lives even better.

My experience living here has been more than I expected. All of the staff is very well versed on their duties and conduct them effectively. I have made great friends at the Heatherwood, and I respect them very much. Everyone has been great to me here and I enjoy talking to people and helping them out whenever they find themselves in some difficulties.

My friend and I used to volunteer here 3 years ago when we were students. That was a really meaningful experience for us. As new immigrants from China, we see different people and cultures here. We can just tell staff and seniors are happy all together. We appreciate it this retirement gave us such a wonderful time and opportunity. Love.
