We got wraps. The staff were very nice but our wraps were not edible. We got a chicken Caesar and buffalo chicken wrap. They both we so greasy the wrap turned saggy and we couldn’t even hold it… They used cheddar cheese in the Caesar wrap and there was only 4 pieces of lettuce that were wilted. This used to be a go to spot for subs and wraps, after this we will not be returning. The prices also don’t match the quality.
View on GoogleBest subs around! Torpedo and steak subs are my favorite here but everything is good. 3 cows died to make this I’m pretty sure, so much steak!
View on GoogleI’d just like to start by saying if your business resides right across the street from a grocery store… the least you can do is go there and get fresh mushrooms. I tried Archie’s for the first time today, a chicken parm sub and my husband got the steak sub. To start with, the woman on the phone was short with us and was noticeably unwelcoming to speak with. Nothing was more apparent than the fact that she’d rather be anywhere else but at work. As if that was bad enough, the chicken was almost totally inedible due to being severely overcooked and rubbery in texture I couldn’t finish my sub I had to tap out. My husband couldn’t finish his steak sub either because it was soooo salty. And even the mushrooms are 100% canned mushroom! The only good thing was the bread, it was nice and soft. But at $20 per sub I’m not paying to scoop out the inside contents and canned mushrooms just to eat the bun. If I’m paying quality price, give me some quality product. We will not be back unfortunately.
View on GoogleThis establishment it set back in time. Archie Bunker style! We drove to Port Colborne for a reason. We arrived early, so we decided to grab lunch. We didn't want to eat from a place we can get everywhere (macdonalds/Wendy's). We drove by Archie's and their sign caught our eye. A big submarine on the front of the building. We walked in and immediately were warmly greeted by the staff behind the counter. After about 10 mins we took to decide what we wanted to eat (I wanted to order everything) we bother settled for submarine sandwiches. Not subs. These sandwiches are well worth the money and we'll worth the drive. I had a Torpedo 8inch and my partner had the Steak 8 inch. All, items are fresh each day. You can tell with every bite. This place has heart and soul. We will definitely be making the 4 hour drive back on our motorcycles just to try something different at Archies!
View on GoogleThis was an amazing food experience. Probably one of the best burgers I have had at a restaurant. It was big and juicy with a good compliment of perfectly cooked bacon and toppings. The onion rings were nice and crispy. My wife's torpedo sub had enough meat to make 4 subs. The service and atmosphere was very Hometown. I highly recommend this restaurant, you will not be disappointed.
