Horrible gym experience. Attended the gym years ago and half the stuff is still broken. Cancelling has been the biggest problem I’ve never seen anywhere else. In person and pay for a month out even at the end of contract? Also beware once you do cancel they will continue to charge and then when to call on a refund they won’t answer?
View on GoogleThis place is a total scam. You can sign up anytime but you can't cancel your membership anytime and when you do try to cancel your membership. It's the most difficult thing in the world. You need to drive in person due to terrible policies. Even if you moved to a completely different city hours away, they will not make an exception. I can't believe it's been about a month-long process and I'm still unable to cancel my membership until I drive in to sign a paper. The manager doesn't get in contact with you. Terrible management. Terrible gym when I went there very shady bad business! Save your money and go somewhere else!
View on GoogleIf I could give zero stars, I would. I obtained an open membership at this location as I did not know how long I would be in town. I was advised at the time that that meant the membership could be ended at no cost to me. When I did cancel the membership, they proceeded to continue to charge well after a month had passed. I literally had to call my bank and get a whole new card to avoid charges from these people. I haven’t even mentioned that I had to drive there several times to get someone to cancel my membership in the first place, then a few more times to find out why I was still being charged. They had the audacity to send me a letter two months after my membership ended to let me know there was a problem with my membership. Do not register here. They do terrible business and getting away will be the most annoying process you have ever faced.
View on GoogleExtremely Disappointed with Anytime Fitness I cancelled my membership with Anytime Fitness, followed all their procedures, and yet they continue to charge me. I've contacted them multiple times with no resolution. This is unacceptable and feels like a deliberate attempt to keep charging people after they leave. Be very cautious if you're thinking about signing up – read the fine print and be prepared for billing headaches when you try to cancel. I won’t be returning and I’ll make sure others are aware of how poorly this is being handled.
View on GoogleThis gym has the absolute worst customer service and follow-through. My membership was cancelled in April and they continued billing my credit card for 3 additional months. I tried calling but their message centre was full every time. I emailed and received no response. I finally drove 45 minutes to the location after we moved from St. Catharine’s in July and no one was there during “regular office hours”. I waited for 2 hours hoping someone would show up, and someone finally did. The employee called up my cancellation and sure enough, it was dated in April. He said he would make the owner aware. Two months later, and only 1 of 6 billings was reimbursed. I called shortly thereafter and someone actually answered. I was told to text the information and that it would be taken care of. Two more months later, and only 2 additional months billings were reimbursed. Very frustrating. Texted again, and this time, no response. It took me until February to get this settled… a full 7 months after going back to the gym to speak with someone. Head office offered no help other than to get in touch with the gym location itself. Easier said than done. This was an extremely frustrating process. Beware! When I went to the gym in July, some of the members said that this is an ongoing issue with this particular gym.
