Amakara Japan

We recently ordered from Amakara Japan and were extremely impressed. We ordered nine different sushi rolls and maki, and everything was fresh, flavourful, and clearly made with care. The order came with plenty of soya sauce and wasabi, which was appreciated, and everyone enjoyed every roll. Whether you’re looking for takeout or planning to dine in, I would highly recommend this restaurant. Great quality, great taste, and a fantastic overall experience.

The place is amazing, the food is excellent, the service is perfect, everyone is very nice, this is the second time we've gone there and we'll definitely go again.

I was getting my tires changed across the street, and this place got noticed. So, instead of going to our regular spot in St. Kits, we walked across the road to here. The food was good, nothing special, but I did appreciate the interior. However, the service as many other complained was awkward, and slow. There was two other tables in the restaurant at 1pm, and it took way too long to simply take our order, and even longer to receive our food. There was two tables in house, and it didn't seem any takeout was going through, so I couldn't imagine what it would be like if it was actually busy. Overall, it was acceptable, but I'll likely go elsewhere in the future.

The sashimi very good, food was all well prepared and large portions. But the table we sat at had a faint urine smell and little bowls of plain vermicelli noodles that were microwaved were an odd choice to offer at the beginning.

Hidden local gem we found by chance! Food was delicious and large portion sizes for the price! Staff were very friendly - we were visiting from out of town and they gave us some great sightseeing recommendations. Would definitely visit again!
