Active Green+Ross Tire & Automotive Centre

I really enjoyed my first time coming to ActiveGreen +Ross. Rendy’s my favorite. Such a nice person and really knows their stuff. I’m looking forward to getting my tires from them soon.

Had a serpentine belt slipping. (personally I do my own repairs in the driveway) But this time with the weather getting cold and not being completely sure about what was really causing it. Taking the van to these guys is a no brainer. I work from 9-5 with getting off early sometimes (though luck would have me work up to or past 5 the days that my van was with them, which was funny) I will keep using them for big things because it works well for me being able to drop off and walk 5 minutes to work. The work and service is Awesome and respectful and professional.

They handled my vehicle with real care, the work was done on time, and the pricing was fair. I left feeling confident and well taken care of. I had my winder tires balanced. I had never been there, but they were recommend. Excellent customer service, high quality work and competitive price. Looks like I'm bringing all my cars there.

I want to start this review off by saying that the staff was very kind and I have nothing against them as I know this is a chain company and they are just doing their jobs. I was quoted about $6000 for my van to get fixed and I paid about $230 for a diagnosis. Every little thing needed to be fixed and when I asked if they could fix only the necessary problems I was told it would cost only about $3000. I do not know much about vehicles and I was shocked to hear that my van would be costing me that much. My friends who work with cars everyday laughed at me when I said I had to pay that much to get it fixed. I took my van which I was told wasn’t road safe to a local mechanic and he fixed every problem for $1200 taxes and labour included! He even told me it was safe to drive and that there wasn’t anything super wrong with it. I was just worried because I had a few lights on my dash so I wanted to take it to a “reputable” shop. I urge everyone who sees this review to get a second opinion I felt terrible, when I was taking my van away I heard them quoting a couple who seemed like they didn’t know much about cars $7000 for a fix and I regret not telling them to try and see what a local mechanic had to say. I will never go back to this place. Please I urge you to find a local mechanic who will keep your car safe and your bank account full.
