I was told about this breastfeeding clinic during my postpartum stay at Joseph Brant Hospital. About 8 weeks into our exclusively breastfeeding journey, my baby started popping on/off a lot and crying mid and post feeds. I called the clinic and they emailed me the referral form to provide to my GP. My GP filled it out and sent it back the next day. 5 days later I still hadn’t heard back from the clinic. I called and the receptionist said she’d “look around” for the referral and call me back. She never did. I followed up by email 2 days later saying I was hoping to see Lori ASAP and asked if they had recieved the referral. No response. That was 5 days ago. In the meantime I’ve found a private LC who’s proving us some support. If you feel like you’re in crisis or need urgent breastfeeding support, do not put your faith in this clinic. What an unfortunate experience.
View on GoogleWe recently moved to the area and we were transferred to Dr. Munawar’s care. She is excellent, the wait times were very reasonable, she is very thorough, provided lots of resources and was very patient with the kids. Her secretary Randi is also awesome. Overall, we are extremely happy with our new pediatrician, the kids love her!
View on GoogleIncredibly grateful to Lori, the lactation consultant, who was wonderful and got my baby to latch after a tough time of trying for 5 weeks. My baby instantly got a strong preference for bottle in the beginning as we had to pump/ formula feed as she had jaundice. I cannot recommend Lori enough - just 1 visit with her and she got the baby to beautifully and effortlessly latch and guided me as well. It was incredible as after so much trying and tears, it was the first time my baby ever latched - it took many weeks after to transition to exclusive breastfeeding but Lori’s guidance worked and that latch was all the motivation I needed that this was possible. I went through Niagara public health and got a referral so the whole visit was covered by OHIP. Thank you so so much Lori - I am now able to exclusively breastfeed my little one without pumping and all the hassle - most importantly I cherish the bond and experience of nursing. Deeply grateful and I cannot recommend Lori enough. She’s absolutely wonderful!
View on GoogleAs a parent, I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Munawar and her receptionist, Randi. They have both been incredible with my son and always go above and beyond to make sure he receives the best care possible. Dr. Munawar is patient, understanding, and truly takes the time to listen and explain things in a way that puts me at ease. Her compassion and dedication really shine through in every visit. Randy is just as wonderful — she’s always friendly, organized, and so helpful with scheduling and answering any questions we have. You can tell they both genuinely care about their patients and families. We’re so grateful for the amazing care and kindness they’ve shown our family. I highly recommend absolute to anyone looking for an office that truly puts their patients first! I would give 10 stars if I could
View on GoogleWe visited with Lori, the lactation consultant and she was amazing. Our little guy started in the NICU which had me exclusively pumping for a few weeks. Lori helped us transition to triple feeding and then two exclusively breastfeeding. I couldn't have done this transition without her. We also had latching issues and she walked us through them. And after three hard months with Lori's guidance, we were able to exclusively breastfeed. I couldn't recommend this clinic enough. The pediatricians were also great. And we know that if we have any concerns in the future that we are in good hands!
