Just left the playground feeling very disturbed and harassed. I arrived at the playground with my young children and it was empty. One minute after sitting down, 15 or so kids arrived with only one care giver whom glared and stared at me and my kids. It was extremely off putting but eventually she sat down and didn’t bother me again. A couple minutes after that, another woman showed up and I already knew what was coming. This one glared and stared at me and my kids - but mainly me almost the ENTIRE time I was there. She almost never looked away. Not sure if she has mental issues?? It’s concerning because the kids were running all around and she wasn’t watching them at all. I was looking at my phone sitting far back keeping an eye on my own kids and answering emails. But she wouldn’t stop looking at me even when the daycare kids were talking to her. At least 4/5 homeless (addicts) cut through the park with many other people walking by also, and she paid them no mind. I was born in Canada and lived here my whole life and ever since living in Niagara region for the past year or so, I’ve experienced a lot of scary incidents from “south Asian” immigrants. It’s unacceptable. Amongst my mom group, I can also confirmed they have experienced aggression from the daycare workers when they encounter them at the playground.
