A multiple National Jazz Award winner, he has performed with jazz legends including George Shearing, Jimmy Smith, Slide Hampton, and Peter Appleyard. Whether leading his own groups or collaborating with acclaimed artists, Schwager is admired for his sophisticated musicianship, effortless swing, and expressive sound, making him one of Canada's premier jazz guitarists. Duncan Hopkins is one of Canada's most accomplished and in-demand jazz bassists, celebrated for his warm tone, impeccable time, and expressive musicality. An award-winning performer, composer, arranger, and educator, he has built an outstanding career performing at major jazz festivals, concert halls, and clubs across Canada and internationally. Hopkins has collaborated with many of the country's leading jazz artists, as well as acclaimed international musicians, earning a reputation as a versatile and intuitive accompanist and bandleader.
